VICTORIA LUCIE
VINTAGE AND CONTEMPORARY VOCALIST
A bit about me...
I started singing lessons at the age of 14 after being involved in my local pantomime since about 7 years old. I was too scared to sing in front of my teacher at the time of which she quite rightly said "We won't make much progress then will we?"
And here I am over 15 years later and I adore my job.
I initially trained in Musical Theatre and very much wanted to part of a "stand and sing" musical, in other words Les Mis (and that dream is still very much in the pipeline). However, during my studies I found a passion for straight acting and decided to follow that path.
I have been fortunate to perform on Londons West End as Miss Casewell in Agatha Christies The Mousetrap (I was cast during their 68th year!) I have had the joy of performing in 9 professional pantomimes as leading lady, I've toured the UK with multiple shows from children theatre, to a one woman plays.
Adoring screen acting equally I have been fortunate enough to perform in feature and short films a like, most notably "On the Line" available on Amazon, as well as music videos and commercials.
And whilst acting is still a huge part of my life, singing did sit by the way side unless I was required to sing during a show.
After singing at well known hotel for multiple years I decided to give solo gigging a go, and now I do it full time! I feel forever grateful that this is my job. No day is the same and I get to see the effects of great music in real time.
I really could go on forever, as someone who likes to be busy I also enjoy vintage modelling, photography, walking, crocheting, teaching children drama, cooking, gaming, reading, the list is endless.
But I'll leave it there, and end by saying, that I never take a gig for granted and I hope my passion for all things creative shows every time I have a sing song!
Thanks for reading,
Vicki :)
